Grow Baby Grow

Our little man isn't so little! He had his 4 month well visit last week and seems to be growing at a rapid pace, it must be all Mama's "super milk" as my friend Elizabeth likes to call it! Jonah now weighs in at a very healthy 18lbs 12ozs and is 26 inches long. He is in the 97th percentile for weight and 85th for height.

Neal was able to snap some really great shots of the little guy....isn't he so stinkin' cute? And in case you were wondering, yes, I kiss his cheeks ALL DAY LONG!

Transition to Cloth

I finally made the commitment and Jonah's buns are now wrapped in the soft goodness of cloth diapers. I have been contemplating the idea of cloth since about the middle of my pregnancy with Jonah, however I just thought that it would be a big undertaking and just before he was born decided that I would go the disposable route, especially for the newborn stage. Now that he is 4 months old, and not pooping every time I put a new diaper on him, I thought this would be as good as time as any to give cloth a try. After much research (in addition to all that I had done while pregnant) I finally made a decision and settled on a brand of diapers, bumGenius 3.0 Deluxe All in Ones. I chose this particular diaper because it seemed as though it would be the easiest one to transition to from disposables. I was definitely right about the transition, it was seamless. I love these dipes! The term All in One means just that, everything is all in one, no cloth to fold and diaper covers, just one super easy to use cloth diaper. Click HERE to read more about the diapers I chose. So far I am really happy with my decision to switch to cloth and I feel good about Jonah's little buns laying against the soft cloth lining of his dipes versus the disposables filled with chemicals!

Jonah's stash of dipes minus the 7 that are in the dirty diaper pail!

Cloth has come a long way!

Happy Baby!

A Baptism and A Birthday

On Sunday, February 28th, we baptized our sweet little man. It was such a powerful day for us and what made it even more special was that it was my birthday. My Aunt Nancy and Grandmother came all the way from Massachusetts to share Jonah's special day with us. We had a wonderful visit with them, Sophie was so excited to have visitors and could not get enough of Great Grammy Sophie, she thought Gram was the best thing since sliced bread! She loved Auntie Nancy too, however I think she was so caught up with Great Grammy Sophie that she had a hard time remembering Aunt Nancy's name and just resorted to calling her "my friend". It was cute and Aunt Nancy didn't seem to mind. It was an awesome day and it meant so much to me to have my aunt and Gram here to celebrate with us, I couldn't have asked for a better birthday.

Of course neither child is looking at the camera!
